On May 16, 2024, Mingachevir State University (MSU) hosted a scientific and theoretical seminar on the topic “Food Security is a Strategic Issue” as part of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World.” The event, organized by the Department of Physics and Ecology, was attended by MSU’s faculty, students, and graduate students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his speech, V\u00fcqar Mustafayev, Head of the MSU Department of Science and Innovations, emphasized that food security is considered a critical component of the national economic security system by countries worldwide. He noted that efforts in this area have strengthened the country’s food security system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
T\u0259ran\u0259 Yusibova, Head of the Department of Physics and Ecology, shared her thoughts on the topic and discussed the targeted measures being implemented to enhance the country’s food security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An informative video titled “The Exceptional Role of Food Security in Public Health” was presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the video, the department’s lecturers delivered presentations. Leyla \u018fhm\u0259dova spoke on “Food Security in Azerbaijan,” G\u00fclmir\u0259 M\u0259mm\u0259dova on “The Food Security Problem in a Globalized World,” Aysel Bayramova on “Ensuring Food Security as a Crucial Condition for Human Development,” and F\u0259rid\u0259 H\u0259s\u0259nli on “Food Security and Sustainable Food.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scientific seminar concluded with a discussion session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
