A scientific-theoretical seminar dedicated to April 22 “International Earth Day” was held within the framework of “Year of Solidarity for a Green World”organized by the Department of Physics and ecology of Mingachevir State University (MSU) and Mingachevir City education sector.
A group of employees of the Department of Physics and ecology of MSU, students and masters, teachers and pupils of the secondary school number 14 named after Rustam Gahramanov of Mingachevir city attended the event in order to strengthen propaganda work among the public in the field of Environmental Protection.
Head of the Department of Physics and ecology of MSU Tarana Yusibova greeted the guests and participants. Speaking about the celebration of the “International Earth Day”, Tarana Yusibova said that on the eve of this significant day, which is celebrated in more than 150 countries of the world, including Azerbaijan, people participate in various environmental events, planting trees, caring for greenery, cleaning nature from waste. Environmentalists urge the population to be more active in the field of environmental protection by holding mass actions aimed at improving the environment. At the same time, various activities are carried out in this direction at MSU, including the Department of Physics and ecology.
Aysel Bayramova, a teacher of the Department of Physics and ecology of MSU, made reports on “protection of ecological balance is a priority”, Gulgun Israfilova, an employee of the Department on “ecological basis of efficient use of Natural Resources”, Nurlan Hasanli, a second-year student of ecological engineering specialty on “our green house”.
Then the students of Secondary School number 14 made a presentation of the project called “let’s be in solidarity for the Green World!”they. The head of the department, who positively assessed the training of students, T.Yusibova gave them encouraging gifts. It should be noted that within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” various events are being held in Mingachevir and MSU.
