In 2024, on January 07-12, a delegation of Mingachevir State University (MSU) visited the Republic of Kazakhstan. The visit took place within the framework of the project “new courses in Geospatial Engineering for the adaptation of coastal ecosystems to climate change” (GEOCLIC), funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
Sanan Mehdi, who is a coordinator of the project, Elchin Aliyev who is a head of the internal control department of the university, and Razim Gurbanov, an employee of the Career and Development Center, visited Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Kazakhstan.
The delegation was given information about environmental impact assessment, environmental processes and their management modeling, commercialization of innovative products and startup initiatives for future engineers, evaluation of open data sources and cloud-based processing “RS”, “GIS”, Environmental Design in the direction of training.
During the visit, the MSU delegation exchanged views on potential cooperation at Al-Farabi Gazakh National University’s Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Department of International Cooperation and Internationalization, Cluster of Engineering and Knowledge-Oriented Technologies, and Professional Development and Career Office. S. Mehdi gave a presentation on the steps taken by the MSU towards modernization, directions of action, work done within the framework of the GEOCLIC project.
It should be highlighted that MSU, which considers the direction of modernization as one of its main priorities, cooperates with a number of universities to strengthen potential and expand exchange activities within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, and takes part as a coordinator and partner in various projects.
