An MSU student was awarded in the “Best Student Research Work” competition

Emil Şükürov, a second-year student of the “Ecology Engineering” program at Mingachevir State University (MSU), participated in the “Restoration of Karabakh – Eco-Projects” competition held within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” by Azerbaijan University.

The main goal of the competition, which aimed to ensure active youth participation in the reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories, was to identify the best scientific and practical projects that would contribute to environmental greening, reducing negative health impacts, and improving the quality of life of the population.

A total of around 50 projects in various fields were submitted to the competition, which included bachelor’s and master’s students representing universities across the country. The submitted works were evaluated by the commission based on criteria such as the relevance and novelty of the work, originality of the research approach, depth and innovativeness of the conducted research, alignment and justification of the results with the proposed issues, theoretical and practical significance of the work, preparation of the presentation, and use of interactive materials during the presentation. Ten scientific works made it to the finals, and five projects were selected as winners. Our student Emil Şükürov was awarded for presenting the most innovative project in the “Restoration of Karabakh – Eco-Projects” student scientific competition.

It is noteworthy that the project was aimed at collecting young people’s new ecological and innovative ideas, proposals for realizing the “smart city – smart village” concept, discovering young talents, and involving them in scientific research.
