The association was established under the Student Youth Organization  of MSU in connection with the order called “Azerbaijan 2030: national priorities for socio-economic development” signed by the president of the Azerbaijani Republic Ilham Aliyev.

At the meeting with the members of the”green volunteers“, the guest professor of MSU Evren Gucher from Ankara Haji Bayram Veli University, Evren Gücher, wished success to the volunteer students and spoke about the importance of declaring 2024 the” year of solidarity for the green world ” in Azerbaijan. The professor noted that relevant tasks have been set before MSU in this direction. He said that with the support of MSU scientists, MSU will not be left out of these processes as a scientific and educational institution with great potential in the “Year of Solidarity for a Green world” and will further stimulate the work conducted by our country in this direction by demonstrating its support to society.

Head of the Sustainable Development and Regional innovations Research center of MSU, Asim Mammadov said that the main goal of the association is to expand environmental awareness among young people, encourage them to joint activities in the field of Ecology, and create conditions for efficient leisure time by encouraging students to take care of the environment. At the end, the chairman and members of the board of the association were elected by open voting.
