On April 19, 2024, under the organization of the Department of Physics and Ecology of Mingachevir State University (MSU), within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World”, the “Environmental Impact Assessment” module training with the theme “Climate changes and the fight with it” was launched. A group of MSU employees, students and masters participated in the training held in the second educational building of the university.
Tarana Yusibova, head of the Department of Physics and Ecology of MSU, gave the participants extensive information about the modular training. She said that the teachers of the department are taking many initiatives to support methods of combating global climate change, which is one of the most serious issues that change our lives. They conduct certain research in this field, actively participate in projects, and also try to increase the activity of students and young people in this direction. The head of the department noted that in the 5-module training, the participants will be informed on various globally important environmental issues by the employees of the Mingachevir City Thermal Power Station and Regional Ecology and Natural Resources Department Number 8, along with MSU teachers. At the end of the module training, students who successfully pass the relevant exam will be awarded with a certificate.
