Organized by the Department of Physics and Ecology of Mingachevir State University (MSU) and the Mingachevir City Education Sector, an event on “Green Chemistry for the Future” was held as part of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World”.
The event was attended by a group of employees of MSU Department of Physics and Ecology, students and masters, teachers and students of Secondary School No. 18 named after Mingachevir city Yashar Muradov.
Tarana Yusibova, the head of the Department of Physics and Ecology of MSU, opened the event by welcoming the guests and talked about the monitoring of technological trends in the development of society, the fight against green energy and environmental problems, the use of renewable energy technologies, and the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World”. expressed confidence that he will forgive the works done within the framework.
Then, the reports of the students of the Faculty of Engineering of MSU were heard. Aida Kahramanova gave speeches on “The biggest chemical accident in history – the Bhopal disaster”, Aysu Jafarova on “Green chemistry for a green future” and Beyaz Ahmadova on “The impact of armed conflicts on the environment”.
Then students conducted chemical experiments.
The event continued with the artistic part. Pupils of secondary school No. 18 recited poems within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World”.
The presented reports, experience and artistic part were received with interest by the participants.
At the end, a question-and-answer quiz was held. Prizes were awarded to those who found the correct answers.
