On March 28, 2024, the XVII scientific conference dedicated to the “Science Day” of the Student Scientific Society was held at the Engineering Faculty of Mingachevir State University (MSU) as part of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World”. A group of MSU academic-administrative staff members, students and masters took part in the conference.

Opening the conference with an introductory speech, Almaz Aliyeva, who is a dean of the Faculty of Engineering of MSU highly appreciated the interest of young students in scientific research and wished for continuous development in this direction. Pointing out the steps taken towards the development of research skills of young people at the university, the dean emphasized the importance of scientific events organized among students in this context and wished success to the work of the conference.

Then students’ reports were heard according to the program of the conference.

Maleyka Haziyeva, a student of the Faculty of Engineering of MSU, “The support of the Azerbaijan Genetic Plant Resources fund for solidarity for the sake of a green world”, Nuray Niftaliyeva “From “black gold” to “green energy”, Shahana Shakirgizi “Digitalization as a provider of a green world”, Aydan Mammadova ” Genetic engineering and ecological danger”, Ayshan Mammadova, “Green solidarity in our national traditions”, Maryam Bekirova, “Green IT: development directions and perspectives”, Ruslan Alizadeh, “The role of vehicles in atmospheric pollution”, Ibrahim Mammadov, “Integrating cyber security into sustainable development”, Arzu Hasanova presented their reports on “Practices of using solar energy of the world countries”, Khumar Alkhasova on “Electric mobile passive machines” and Sabina Gadimova on “Green chemistry is the basis of green development”.

The presented reports were welcomed by the participants and discussions were held. At the end of the conference, the reports of the students were evaluated positively, relevant recommendations were given and suggestions were put forward.

It should be noted that within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” different events are held at MSU.
