On March 12, 2024, the XVII scientific conference dedicated to the “Science Day” of the Student Scientific Society  was held at the Faculty of Education of Mingachevir State University (MSU) as part of the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World”. A group of academic and administrative staff members of the Faculty of Education, students and masters participated in the conference.

Dean of the Faculty of Education, Nizami Zeynalov, opened the conference with an introductory speech and said  that today Azerbaijan is one of the few countries that are most sensitive to climate change processes in the world. Speaking about the importance of holding COP29 in our country, N. Zeynalov noted that the declaration of 2024 as the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World” by the order of President Ilham Aliyev is a global challenge not only for our country, but also for the whole world.

Then students’ reports were heard at the conference. Aisha Tahirova, a student of the Faculty of Education of MSU, “The road to a green university” starts at COP29″, Shamsiyya Mustafayeva, “Miracle of nature”, Gumral Mammadova, “The role of cartoons in children’s education”, Gulnaz Gurbanova, “Green or renewable energy” the role of education in the organization of education on education”, Gunel Hasanova “Najaf Bey Vazirov’s scientific work “Oak” as the first example of ecological research”, Nahid Mahmudlu “Application of analytical geometry methods to finding the optimal solution to some economic issues”, Roya Balashova “Organization of pedagogical service in inclusive education” presented their reports on the topics.

Discussions were held around the reports, which were received with interest by the participants.

Speaking at the end of the conference, Vugar Mustafayev, Head of Science and Innovations Department of MSU, and Gunash Shafaqatov, Chairman of the Student Scientific Society, positively evaluated the students’ reports and gave relevant recommendations.

It should be noted that within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” different events are held at MSU.
