Rector of Mingachevir State University (MSU) Shahin Bayramov met with students participating in “GreenTech” startup and green technologies competition.
Within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” in Ganja, more than 60 teams of 200 students from 17 universities competed in 5 categories in the competition organized by Azerbaijan University of Technology , Education Development Foundation , innovation and Digital Development Agency, Kapital Bank, Student-Volunteer Organization “Bir”, “Azersun” holding, “ATS Food” and “AzGranata”. MSU joined with 13 teams.
Having met with the team members, the rector first thanked each of the participants for representing MSU with their activity. Shahin Bayramov said that the main goal of the competition is to support the development of the incubation environment of green technologies in universities, the formation of innovative skills of students, as well as the expansion of cooperation between universities. He expressed his immense joy for the successes achieved by MSU students who are distinguished by superiority in all areas in this direction, for the outstanding places they deserve, stressed that he will always support them and said that he is proud of MSU students.
The participants of the competition expressed their gratitude to Rector Shahin Bayramov for the comprehensive support provided to them. At the same time, participants said that it was a very proud feeling to be awarded the “100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev (1923-2023)” jubilee medal of the respected rector. Shahin Bayramov emphasized that the medal presented to him shows the highest attention paid to the MSU family and noted that every student and employee of the university has a unique role in awarding this highest award.
I, II, III and encouraging places in each category, including robotics, mechatronics, Energy Systems Engineering, Technologies for Humanity, and Si for sustainability, were determined in the competition. After the evaluation of the jury, the “Blue fuses” team of MSU was awarded the first place in the Mechatronics category. In the category of technologies for Humanity, the “Ecoreview “team took II place, and the” Gantlet ” team took an encouraging place. The winning teams were awarded with certificates and valuable prizes at the end of the competition.
