On March 14, 2024, a scientific seminar dedicated to the “Science Day” was held within the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World” for doctoral students and young researchers at Mingachevir State University (MSU).

Head of the Department of Science and innovations of MSU, Vugar Mustafayev talked  at the opening of the seminar and drew attention to the relevance of the seminar.

He noted that 2024 has been declared as “the Year of Solidarity for a Green World” in our country, and talked about the support and contribution of our state to the work carried out at the national, regional and global levels in the direction of protecting the ecological balance and environment in Azerbaijan, as well as the prevention of climate change.

Vugar Mustafayev emphasized that the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 29) will be held in our country, He also  noted that the holding of such a prestigious and prestigious event in Baku is connected with the high trust of the global community in Azerbaijan, as well as with the unparalleled services provided in this field.

Then the reports were heard according to the program. The teacher of MSU ,  Konul Aydin gave a report on “the role of the school in the environmental education of the younger generation”, Ulviyya Mammadova on “taking into account individual characteristics in the development of language skills”, Azad Mirzabayov on “social pedagogical methods for increasing environmental awareness”, Babak Husuyev on “economic benefits of Nature Conservation: relationship between nature conservation and sustainable development”, Narmin Aliyeva on ” green energy potential, Leyla Ahmadova on” assortment and quantitative assessment of solid waste in the north-eastern part of Mingachevir reservoir “and Maryam Asadova on” green blockchain technology for Sustainable Smart Cities”.

At the end, there was a broad exchange of views on the topics. During the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World”, views were expressed on environmental protection, protection of forest strips and water resources, increasing greenery and other issues. It should be noted that within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World”, various format events are held at MSU.
