On April 2024, on April 3, an intellectual competition was held within the framework of the “year of solidarity for the green world” organized by the Department of Physics and ecology of Mingachevir State University (MSU) and supported by the Research Center for Sustainable Development and Regional innovations. A group of employees, students and masters took part in the competition held in the Assembly Hall of the University.

Asim Mammadov, head of the Research Center for Sustainable Development and Regional innovations of MSU, made a speech at the opening of the competition and noted that a number of events were organized at the University in accordance with the Action Plan of MSU within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World”. A.Mammadov talked about the hosting we will do to COP29, the manifestation of great trust in our country and wished success to the participating teams.

The competition, where 6 teams of MSU students participated, was held in 3 stages. The questions asked to the teams competing for the first place were related to the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World”, various fields of science and general world view.

According to the results, “Garabagh” won the first place, “Zafar” won the second place, and “Khari Bulbul” won the third place. At the end, the members of the winning teams were presented with relevant gifts.

It should be emphasized that at MSU, which  is currently being modernized, special attention is attached to the comprehensive development of young students, including the implementation of various events aimed at raising their intellectual level. The intellectual competition held within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” was organized for this purpose.
