Mingachevir State University (MSU) Sustainable Development and Regional Innovations Research Center  and Mingachevir City Education Department held the next educational meeting within the framework of “Year of Solidarity for a green world” for pupils of Mingachevir Secondary School No. 12 named after Vagif Agakishiyev

The meeting was held at the Geolab and chemical laboratories of MSU.

Making an opening speech, dean of the Faculty of Engineering of MSU Almaz Aliyeva and head of the Department of Physics and ecology Tarana Yusibova gave information about the importance of choosing 2024 as the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” and spoke about the work done in this direction in Mingachevir and MSU.

Then, students carried out various tests and experiments in laboratories with the assistance of MSU teachers Aytaj Javadova and Lala Rasulova. In the laboratory of Geolab, experimental processes were carried out on various water samples, temperature, salinity and conductivity values of distilled water, Kura tea and sodium nitrate solution were checked using the “Pasco Salanity Sensor” device. In the chemical laboratory, oxygen, carbon dioxide concentrations and parameters of dissolved oxygen in water were checked by the interaction of 3 environments established by the “ECOZone” device.

The meeting was met with interest by the students and questions were answered.

It should be noted that various format events are held in Mingachevir within the framework of the “year of solidarity for the Green World”.
